Parent Information Travel to and from School Bicycles
Because of the dangerous nature of the road around us we do not recommend children bike to school. For those children who do bike to school, they should be aged 9 or above and we encourage parents to ride with their children. Safety helmets must be worn. No other student should interfere with bikes left at school. Biking in the school grounds is prohibited.
School Bus Service
A bus provides transport for eligible children living in the school area. Parents wishing to have their children use the bus need to ring Cambridge Travel Lines ph: 827 7363 to check routes, eligibility and, possibly, costs. Once travel is arranged with the bus company, please let the school office know so your child/children can be added to the bus roll. Arrival time is approximately 8.15am each morning with a departure time of 2.40pm in the afternoon. After school a duty teacher will check children off against our bus roll. All children traveling on the bus are required to wear shoes. Younger children are assisted when traveling and alighting from the bus by appointed school bus wardens. Bus wardens are appointed to supervise our children’s behaviour when traveling to and from school. Children are expected to maintain a high standard of behaviour on the bus. In the event of any misbehaviour parents will be contacted and if necessary, children will be stopped from traveling on the school bus.
